County of Marin 
Across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco, and home to a population of approximately 250,000, Marin is one of nine Bay Area counties. Marin County is home to Marin Clean Energy, a program to dramatically increase the amount of renewable energy consumed in the county and, in conjunction with Sonoma County, SMART, a 70 mile 14 station passenger rail project which will remove an estimated 1.3 million car trips from the highways.

The Pacific Sun provides news and information to residents of Marin County. On the web Pacific Sun hosts a forum called TownSquare which is an online “hub” where localresidents can chat and exchange information and ideas on matters large and small.
