Corie Thornton, Clean and Green Designer,  Co-founder and CEO AAH HAA! Inc.

Chemistry, accounting, finance and an MBA does not complete Corie’s background.  She also brings over 15 years of strategic business consulting specializing in start-ups, architecture/design firms and internet commerce.  She sat on the board of international design firms and was instrumental in aligning creativity with profitability.

Three years ago, Corie co-founded AAH HAA! Inc. with her architect husband.  AAH HAA! Inc. is a home-brewed business focused on marketing eco-friendly products that  are good for the environment as well as the local economy.  AAH HAA! Inc.  launched the Clean Conscience brand, a line of reusable shopping bags made from fabric using 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles. Through local partnerships the shopping bags are produced in the USA .

Corie takes greening quite seriously, noting that consumers need simple tools and resources to acquire sufficient knowledge to “green-up” their daily lives.  She discovered that consumers truly want to help green-up the earth, but the available resources are either inaccessible or lacking a central point of information.  The solution? This spring, AAH HAA! Inc. will introduce GreenUpHub.com, a focused on-line green business directory where businesses can list any category of green product or service.  GreenUpHub.com will serve as a hub for everything green, locally or globally.  GreenUpHub.com will provide a comprehensive list of green businesses, tools and tips for easy greening, a green jobs page and a green-up forum.  It will have a unique and simple-to-use Search feature to allow users to search by category, location or keywords.  Corie believes that everyone is capable of greening-up – we just need to make it ridiculously easy to do so!
